Úvodní část tohoto článku poukazuje na rostoucí důležitost motivace pro organizace, aby mohly být úspěšné a konkurenceschopné. Další část obsahuje přehled obecných motivačních teorií. Tato část zabývající se motivačními teoriemi je následována analýzou nástrojů motivace, které jsou spojeny s prací, hodnocením práce a pracovními podmínkami. Poslední část je věnována využití motivačních nástrojů manažery ve spojení s jejich stylem řízení.

The opening part of this article points out the growing importance of motivation for organizations to be successful and competitive one. Next part of the article contains the overview of general theories of motivation. This part concerning theories of motivation is followed by the analysis of instruments of motivation, which are connected with work, evaluation of the work and working condition. Final part of the article is dedicated to the issue of utilization of motivation instruments by the managers in connection with management style.
