Survey: “Motivation and the expectations of first year students at MU”
The target group of the survey: “Motivation and the expectations of first year students at MU”, is the entire audience of first year students at Masaryk University in the first semester of their studies. The survey is aimed at the admissions process, information for applicants, motivation and expectations connected with their studies, and factors that led to their selection of the university.

Survey: “Motivation and expectations of incoming Master’s students from other universities”
The survey focused on students who have successfully completed their studies at other universities discovers their motivation and factors for choosing Masaryk University for their Master’s degree studies. The results show reasons for not registering in Master’s studies at one’s home university (i.e. where one acquired a Bachelor’s or other degree), motivation for choosing MU for Master’s studies, decision-making process in the case of successful admission to several studies, strengths and weaknesses of both one’s home university and MU or study expectations at MU.

MU applicants for study
Masaryk University conducts its own survey among applicants for study who submit their application to Bachelor’s or long-cycle Master’s degree programme. Analysis of the answers brings valuable findings concerning the admission procedure, image of MU and strengths and weaknesses of MU compared to other universities in Czech Republic.

Survey: “Ph. D. alumni employment outside MU”
MU alumni who graduated from Ph. D. programme and have no professional connection to MU at the time of questioning are addressed as participants of the survey. The aim is to find out what employment the alumni leaving MU get and how they assess their Ph. D. studies.

Premature termination of studies at MU
Research into the premature termination of studies at MU is implemented annually and throughout the whole year. A short questionnaire is automatically sent to all students who terminate their studies prematurely. The questionnaire focuses on influence of individual factors on premature termination, preferences and requirements of abandoned studies, tools implemented in solving study-related problems as well as additional study and work activities.
