| Description | In this thesis I devote to a facial analysis of badenian algal limestones in locality Rohožník. Rohožník is located 14 km from Malacky (SR) on the eastern margin of Vienna basin. The work consists of research part focused on stratigraphy of Vienna basin and the own results of microfacial analysis. The obtained samples belong to upper-badenian Sandberg members. Algal limestones contain red algae, corals, bryozoans, other bioclastics material and filling with mikrit and sparit. The aim of the thesis was an analysis of 12 samples and their categorization into classification groups according to Dunham (1962). After execution planimetric analysis was intended, that the samples fall into bioclastics, rhodolite, algous-bryozoan, algous-coral and sparit microfacies. Facies were to intended as rudstone, bindstone,bafflestone, packestone and breccia-sparit. From these results it is also possible to characterize the enviroment of sedimentation of algal limestones. The effected analysis is in compliance with Baráth (1993). |
