| Description | The book discusses in his introduction to all major disciplines and methods of work, taking part in Quaternary studies. It is documented the singularity of Moravia against the surrounding areas, both of abiotic and biotic aspects also. Besides outdoor localitis is emphasized also exceptional job of karst areas, which its size and quantity of finds is typical for Moravia. The section then follow the basic knowledge of the different groups of mammals then in Moravia. It is a reference to their development, basic characteristics, ecological requirements of the environment and the main site where they are. The main attention is paid to the localities of the end of the Last Glacial and Early Holocene, not only in terms of changes of communities, but also in terms of changes in ecosystems caused by migration and posible extinctions. This is followed by chapter from the beginning of the Holocene associated with domestication. The publication is completed survey of most important Moravian sites and rare finds. |
