| Description | “Selected topics from the geography of contemporary China” is a text providing explanation and interpretation of topics and problems connected to rapid economic growth, which China has undergone since 1978. The book is divided into four thematic sections (environment and environmental problems, population policy, economy, geopolitics). It is preceded by an introductory chapter describing reforms in China after 1978. The perspectives of development till 2030 are outlined in the concluding chapter. The text is complemented with case studies which illuminate the outlined processes and problems. The case studies are supported by 10 maps, 28 graphs and a number of original author`s photographs. |
