| Description | In spite of the fact that public transport has only a short history, it is typical by often but mostly contradictory changes in its organization . New direction of its development was given by community’s transport policy which is being implemented as a response to long-term decline in public transport performance. The aim of this paper is to briefly describe developmental milestones of public transport in the Czech Republic and asses the effectiveness of transport policy in period 2005 – 2013. |
