Description Regarding the fact that walking may be completely individual and characteristic motion expression due to different values of some its parameters, we consider it useful to identify common and distinctive gait parameters for different population groups. The article deals with differences in time and power characteristics of the step cycle and its phases. It is also focused on influence of laterality on the measurement results. Two groups of women of different ages underwent measurement of gait parameters with plantographic insoles Pedar. The results show that walking is more dynamic in younger women, while older womens walking is slower, with smaller local extremes and more stable.
