Description The eastern Mediterranean-submediterranean orchid Himantoglossum adriaticum was found at a new site near the village of Eichenbrunn in the Weinviertel region (Lower Austria). So far, there exist no records from the NE part of the Weinviertel region. A small population of three fertile specimens grew there in dry grassland vegetation of the alliance Cirsio-Brachypodion. At present, the habitat has not been managed, and the vegetation harbouring Himantoglossum is endangered by expanding shrubs.
