Description One of the possible power centers of Great Moravia was situated in the Moravia-Slovak borderland near Mikulčice and Kopčany in the floodplain of the Morava River from 8th to 10th century. Available map documentation of this territory firstly comes from the 16th century. However, reliable maps are from the early 19th century. Certain elements of the distant cultural landscape could have survived deep turbulences in the territory and the paper offers possibilities for identifying some of them. Their finding is supported not only by old maps, but also by some indications in the current thematic maps describing components of the nature.
