Description The map is constructed in the Czech district level. CSO data base does not allow for the construction of indicators on the issue of innovation at the community level. Innovation potential, which is the driving force for strengthening the competitiveness of the border regions, is expressed by the innovative performance Iv. Innovative features are: spending on research and development, employment, research and development, the number of patents in force on 31 12.2014, the total number of innovations, costs of technical innovation. For cross-border comparisons innovation potential was due to data availability in Eurostat's chosen level NUTS2. Compared to enter Czech cohesion regions (NUTS 2) and similar to neighboring regions in Germany, Austria, Slovakia and Poland. Innovation potential is expressed by innovative index Ix. Innovative features are: spending on research and development, employment, research and development, employment in technology and knowledge-intensive fields, the population with tertiary education, the number of patent applications.
