| Description | Coplanar barrier discharge was used to study previously reported pre-Townsend phase luminescence on alumina with high permittivity coating in helium diffuse operation mode. The aim of this study was to obtain the spectrum of this discharge phase. Pre-Townsend phase was observed also in argon, proving that this phenomenon is presented also in the filamentary mode of discharge operation. |
