| Description | Based on a conchometrical comparison of modern populations of the mollusc species Pupilla alluvionica (Gastropoda: Pulmonata), recently described from southern Siberia, we have succeeded in solving the old mystery of fossil Pupilla specimens recorded in old loess series from Brno. This finding shows a possibility that the refugium of European glacial biota found in southern Siberia might have served as such a refugium over the long period of the Quaternary. |
