| Description | The paper presents the results of two GEHIR studies (Generative Historiography of the Ancient Mediterranean, http://gehir.phil.muni.cz/), which demonstrate the applicability of methods of formalized modeling to solve "traditional" historical problems. The first case study deals with the spreading process of early Christianity as a difusion on the Mediterranean transport network. The second study, using an abstract mathematical model, tries to evaluate the importance of Jewish networks for the spreading dynamics of Christianity. |
