Description Gastrointestinal nematodes are among the most important parasites in grazing ruminants worldwide. Goats are particularly susceptible to infections caused by these parasites. In recent decades traditional nematode control using anthelmintics has been impeded by increasing resistance to these drugs. Anthelmintic resistance has been monitored over long periods of time in a number of European countries but no study focused on this issue has yet been published in the Czech Republic. The aim of this paper is to acquaint readers with both the current occurrence of anthelmintic resistance at Czech goat farms and the factors contributing to the emergence of this phenomenon in the conditions of the CR.
