Description Mapping the occurrence of Ixodes ricinusa ticks and their prevalence spirochetes Borrelia burgdorferisensu lato in various localities has long been a part of the research of the research group of Mrs. doc. RNDr. Alena Žákovské Ph.D. The locality in the Brno-Pisárky area has long been a place for collecting and monitoring ticks in Brno. Sampling was performed by the flag method and some meteorological parameters such as temperature and humidity were also measured to determine the dependence of the number of captured ticks on these parameters. A total of 552 individuals in various stages were collected. The critical month was evaluated in June, both in terms of the largest number of ticks per month and in terms of the highest number of ticks per collection. The dependence between the number of captured ticks and the temperature in the spring and autumn months was proved. Dependence on humidity has not been proven. The observed positivity of ticks for Bbs1 penetration in 295 individuals is 6.6%.
