| Description | Dalit activism has many forms, contents, and goals, yet there is one aspect which all communities and groups agree on - the need for mobilisation of Indian people against the caste system. In this presentation, I follow the mobilisation strategies through analysis of historic and current Dalit and Ambedkarit songs, and I pay special attention to the role of music in the development of Dalit literature and activism in general. |
