Description Influence of salt mine waters and waters draining from coal heaps, originating from the Upper Silesian Coal Basin (Czech Republic), is essential to understand the interaction between the anthropogenic and the natural environment. The presence of highly mineralized mine waters and waters draining heaps leads to the formation of incrustations and minerals in the watercourses in the area. These incrustations were discovered during sampling and represent interesting mineral phases which, in addition, can bind environmentaly unfriendly substances or elements.
