Description In this study, we monitor the activity of Ixodes ricinus ticks, including their prevalence by selected pathogens. For this purpose, PCR analysis involving several pathogens was introduced, as well as real time PCR for T. gondii and a culture method for the detection of Bbs1 under the shadow in selected samples. The collection of samples took place in the form of flagging at weekly intervals throughout the vegetation period, including the measurement of meteorological conditions at the Brno-Pisárky localities; Brno-dam Rakovec; Brno-Líšeň; Uhersky Brod. Subsequently, the samples were analyzed by PCR for the presence of pathogens Anaplasma phagocytophylum, Borrelia burgdorferi s. L., Coxiella burnetii, Ehrlichia chaffeensis, Francisella tularensis and Toxoplasma gondii. The aim was to obtain an overview of the occurrence of the pathogens and the risk of infection in selected localities, and thus provide the public with information on the issue.
