| Description | Situation of Brno in the 1st half of the 19th century is decribed. The activity of Moravian-Silesian Economic Society, including its Meteorological Section, with respect to Brno meteorological observations is characterised. The recent climate of Brno is presented. Instrumental and visual weather observations during 1800-1850 in Brno are elaborated. Series of pressure, temperature, precipitation and humidity were created, homogenised and analysed. Selected cases of extreme weather as well as hydrometeorological extremes in Brno during the 1st half of the 19th century are described. |
