| Description | yenites are traditional rock material used as a building stone and ornamental rock especially in southwestern Moravia where they are quarried in Třebíč massif. Quarrying and processing of these rocks were always in relation to construction practice requests in wider area of source localities. The paper deals with qualitative assessment of rock material from the point of view of its primary properties. It also evaluates history and present times of quarrying and processing and on selected examples (from the past and present) documents application of syenites as building stones including assessment of their durability against to action of aggressive outer environment. |
