| Description | Results of studies on the faunistics, taxonomy and biology of extant bats made in the Moravian Karst or with respect to this area are briefly summarized. The review follows a time schedule and is divided into the following sections: Early research - 19th century, Research in the first half of 20th century, Research since the second half of the 20th century using classical methods, Current situation. So far, 22 bat species have been recorded within the Moravian Karst, 17 of them in caves. |
