Description During the period 2007–2009, the Department of Geography (Faculty of Science, Masaryk University) participated in two projects focused on geoinformatics in public health: "Cartographic visualization and modeling of contemporary trends in health status and healthcare in the Czech Republic" (GA205/07/1278) and "Visualisation of health data in supporting of interdisciplinary education and public relations" (MSM 2E08028). In the beginning of these two projects was a demand for database model of stpatiotemporal public health data. The paper presents both database models from the design to the utilization for overview data sets, map series and time lines presentation tool TimeSeries.
