| Description | We will introduce the check-list of Hirudinida of the Czech Republic published in Zootaxa 2008, enlarged by recent records. The present leech database contains 1029 sites where 8473 individuals of 24 species of twelve families were collected during 1998–2010. In each species, its distribution, affinities for particular water body type and region within the Czech Republic will be presented. Special attention will be paid to rare and endangered indigenous species. |
