| Description | Aim of this article can be divided to two main parts. At first it presents digital map archive of Institute of Geography, state-of-the-art in digital archiving process. The second presents some new issues in the old maps preservation and accessibility. One of these issues is represented by the way of more valuable old maps information usage. Therefore the paper deals with concepts of two cartographic thesauri – thesaurus of map objects and thesaurus of map indices – designed in cooperation with Moravian Library and Charles University in Prague. |
