Interpreting Evolution: From Materialism to Mysticism
In this view of evolutionary interpretations, from materialism to mysticism, the students will be provided with viewpoints represented by the materialism of Darwin and Dawkins, the vitalism of Bergson and Nietzsche, and the spiritualism/mysticism of Teilhard de Chardin. The students will be made aware of both the philosophical implications and theological consequences of evolution without intellectual dominance, and, on the contrary, with personal approach of understanding and compassion.
