Fourth Brno Conference on Linguistics Studies in English: Interpretation of Meaning in Spoken and Written Discourse
The Fourth Brno Conference on Linguistics Studies in English Interpretation of Meaning in Spoken and Written Discourse will be held in Brno on 16-17 September 2010. The host institution will be the Department of English Language and Literature at the Faculty of Education of Masaryk University. The Conference focuses on interpretation of meaning in spoken and written discourse. While the thematic scope of the contributions is expected to be very wide, we particularly welcome topics exploring aspect of discourse coherence, cohesion relations, pragmatic strategies in the interpretation of discourse, dialogic aspects of written and spoken interaction and genre-specific strategies for the negotiation of meaning in spoken and written discourse.
