Right to enrolment in studies
An applicant gains the right to enrolment in studies following his/her receiving the admission notification. Applicants must enrol at the time stipulated by the relevant MU faculty. They receive a letter specifying the dates and place of enrolment and the enrolment procedure.
An applicant becomes a student of Masaryk University on the date of enrolment in studies.
Those who are not able to enrol in studies at the stipulated time may apply for an alternative date. They must do so no later than on the day prescribed for enrolment. Should an applicant fail to enrol in studies on the prescribed date or at an alternate date and subsequently fail to provide compelling reasons which prevented them from doing so in a period of five workdays, their right to enrolment in studies shall expire.
It is possible to authorize other person to represent an applicant in the enrolment in studies. This authorised person must present a certified copy of power of attorney and identification card during the enrolment.
Enrolment in studies and photographing of newly enrolled students
Photographing to Information System MU takes place concurrently with enrolment in studies. Photographing is obligatory for those who are enrolling in studies at MU for the first time. Place of photographing is stipulated by the relevant MU faculty
Electronic photo is necessary for the issuance of a student ID card. On-site study mode students are given an ISIC card as a student ID at MU. Students in the combined study mode are given their ID on a chip card. Students collect their student ID card at Office for Studies of the relevant faculty at the beginning of the semester.
