We tested whether the effect of socially responsible parenting, school democracy, and perceived community norms on Czech adolescents’ civic engagement is mediated by their values. Two forms of engagement and two historical contexts were compared; using total sample of 2,097 participants aged 13-19. Structural equation mediation models suggested diverse patterns for different forms of engagement and historical contexts.
