The study field International Relations and Energy Security (language of instruction: Czech) focuses on detailed study of energy security issues in the context of international relations. It aims to equip students with sufficient knowledge to analyze problems and use the acquired skills in practice. The graduates will be able to define, explain and relate to practical problems their basic knowledge of international relations and energy security. They will be able to categorize and interpret key imperatives of these issues and provide expert argumentation in relevant topics. The instruction is based on critical demanding form developing analytical and conceptional thought of students and their skills in communication, team work and creativity. Students are acquainted with the terminology, methods and concepts used in energy security and IR. The graduates will also be able to work with technical aspects of the energy resources, including their localization and processing. The field is prepared in such a way that it takes into account changing requirements of practical use and labor market. Theoretical knowledge of the courses thus reflect interests of potential employers and prepare students for future jobs. (The preparation of the field has been discussed with private energy companies, professional unions and representatives of relevant ministries and state administration.)
