Web and Server Hosting

ICS provides web server hosting customised to user needs. In the standard setup, we provide a web server with a database (typically Apache, MySQL, PHP) running in a virtual computer. The user manages the content management system and the web content itself. The user doesn't have to take care of hardware, operating system installation, supporting and web server software.

Experienced users can be even administrate the whole installation from the OS to the web server and database.

Web servers are hosted in virtual machines which are backed up (including the complete image) regularly. The machines can use data kept in our data storage. Access to the web presentation can be managed using various authentisation and authorisation techniques, e.g., federations. The web can obtain either a domain name from the faculty name space (http://sitola.fi.muni.cz) or a second level domain name (http://www.sitola.cz).
