About us
International Institute of Political Science (IIPS) is an academic research body founded in 1990. IIPS specializes in research of political, economical, social and legal development of the society. It seeks to implement the best traditions of democratic societies from Western Europe and the United States of America. IIPS initiates and coordinates activities in the field of political science and contributes to promotion of socioscientific research results. Several times a year IIPS organizes various conferences, specialized lectures and seminars. Among others it provides organizational backup for a major event – the political symposium. Expert researchers of IIPS take active part in different specialist lectures, conferences and trainings as speakers. Primary research and presentation of its results are a priority.
One of the major attractive events is the presentation of Czech-American Awards for talented students in cooperation with the U.S. Embassy and the Fulbright Commission. All university students can take part in this competition, the topic being issues of American studies. The institute also comprises of a student section which organizes different events including discussions with interesting personalities from our political and cultural life.
The International Institute of Political Science works closely with The Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung. Other partners come from Germany, the USA, the Netherlands, Slovakia, Poland, Hungary, Belarus and the Ukraine.
One of the main Institute´s activities is publishing. The number of published original publications has reached 120. These publications of renowned authors and leading specialists in socioscientific subjects are divided into three sections (research, monography, anthology). IIPS also supports talented students and publishes their best work. The Institute´s researchers are able to arrange for a complete processing of the publication including a high-quality reviewal work, cooperation with the author, editing service and graphics processing. A special emphasis is being laid on originality and professional quality of the publications.
