Search in general
There are two separate systems used to search at www.muni.cz - one for people search and one for search in the content of web site. Both systems are accessible under the respective buttons on the toolbar in the upper right corner on every page. Search last used is initiated as default search by pressing the Enter key.
Both search systems have also forms for more detailed entry of query. The people search form may be found on the page People search at MU as well as on the page About the institute, where link thereto may be found. The content search form may be found on the page Search, accessible also under the link Search
in the upper right corner on every page.
Advanced content search functions
Results count setting
Number of search results displayed on one page may be set up in the box on detailed search form or also using the key word results:<number of_results>
directly in the search box.
Scanned area limit
By means of this function it is possible to simplify and speed up the search by focusing on particular web area. It can be set up either on detailed search form or using the key word scope:<area_abbreviation>
directly in the search box. The search system recognizes currently the following areas:
