Masaryk University Language Centre offers an optional course - Videoconferencing for Students of Law. Second year students are given an opportunity to communicate with their colleagues in Helsinki, Finland, Aberystwyth, Wales, UK and other countries on professional topics. They give professional presentations on a topic of their choice, negotiate cases and take part in a mock trial. Before they are ready to fulfill the final task, we prepare them for the difficulties and obstacles videoconferencing can present to an inexperienced user. The aim of this booklet is to share exercises we have developed to help them perform well in communicating via videoconferencing.
