European Union Regulation of Financial Services online
(EUROFSonline)
AnnotationThe reason for the project is the absence of the education with similar contents. The area of the project is the European Union regulation of Financial Services Online. This area is contained only in a few voluntary courses and only its basics are discussed. The other reason is that the Czech Republic is the member state of the European Union and there are many international companies in the Czech Republic. This fact implies that the alumni of the Faculty of Law need to have knowledge on the European Union regulation in specific areas of regulation. They also need to gain a practical experience and proficiencies on currently discussed legal issues. The practical form of teaching will be included in the course and students will get a feedback on their inputs from teachers. Therefore the outputs of the projects will be the created course including seminars and lectures, two reader books which will contain basic legal acts of the European Union in the subject area and one monography with theoretical analysis of the area. This project intends to create a new optional course in Master degree studies at the Masaryk University, Faculty of Law. This course will expand the focus of Law studies on the European Union regulation. The other output will be a new professional training course at the same institution offered to the general public. Both types of courses will be highly specialized courses regarding the European integration taught in Czech and will be accompanied by the study materials. We are convinced that this expansion will prove valuable to the alumni of the courses regardless of their working place within the entire European Union. Courses will be specifically aimed at the financial services contracted and provided online. This area is currently very expanding and has growing importance. We believe that the submitted project will have the positive impact on students once they start working in practice.
