Level: The seminar is aimed at students of German studies in their basic studies (Proseminar).
Seminar´s Title: Literature in a contemporary historical context / Literatur im zeithistorischen Kontext.
Course Description: The seminar aims to examine the influence of historical figures and events on contemporary literature. How were historical events or people processed in German literature? Literature from the 14th, 15th and 18th centuries is read.
Autumn Semester 2015/16: Faculty of Philosophy at Charles University in Prague.
Level: The seminar is aimed at students of German studies in their basic studies (Proseminar).
Seminar´s Title: "It wasn't just Kafka, Rilke and Werfel." German literature in Prague. An introduction and overview.
Course Description: We embark on a literary journey from 1912 to 1938 and introduce the most important representatives of the literary scene in Prague in the 1920s and 1930s. As part of the seminar we will visit the Prague Literature House of German-speaking Authors.
