Hluboká mozková stimulace je indikována především pro Parkinsonovu chorobou, třes, dystonii, farmakorezistentní epilepsii, depresi, OCD, agresivitu a cluster headache. Zaměření cíle stimulace se děje pomocí technik přímých nebo nepřímých.

The main indication for deep brain stimulation are Parkinson disease, tremor, dystonia,treatment resistant epilepsy, depression, OCD, agressiveness and cluster headache. The target is identified using direct or indirect techniques.
