Studies for international students

The number of students studying at Masaryk University (MU) has been steadily increasing. The aim is to open the university to the talented young scholars from abroad, mainly from the neighbouring countries. Therefore, MU arranged a new system of care for international students which offers favourable conditions for international students studying in Czech language:

The Slovak students study at Masaryk University under the same conditions as Czech students.

What you need to do in case you are interested in studying at MU

  • To pay an application fee of 400 CZK (approximately 15,50 EUR), except for studies at the Faculty of Social Studies (an application fee of 270 CZK, approximately 10 EUR) and at the Faculty of Sports Studies (an application fee of 550 CZK, approximately 21 EUR).
  • To come and pass the entrance examination: the examination dates are different at every faculty, but they usually take place in June. On the basis of a properly submitted and paid application, the applicant will be invited to the entrance examination, which can be, in several cases, carried out in the English language. Individual faculties can decide about dispensation of the entrance exam with respect to previous outstanding study results of the applicant.
