The Grant Agency of the Czech Republic is an organizational unit of the
state, the administrator of a category of budget, and an independent
accounting entity. The Agency administers purpose-built and institutional
resources assigned by the State Budget Law of the Czech Republic. These
resources are allocated to grant projects selected in public tenders.
The Agency announces public tenders for grant projects of basic research
in selected areas and approved programmes. The calls for projects submissions
are announced regularly, once per year. A grant project is a basic
research project in which the goals and solution strategies are set by the
applicant, or by the proposer, respectively.
