Publikace byla vydána s cílem podpořit interní i externí spolupráci jednotlivých subjektů Katedry sociální pedagogiky PdF MU, ale i spolupráci se širší odbornou i laickou pedagogickou veřejností. Sociální pedagogika je dynamicky se rozvíjejícím vědním oborem, o jehož obsahu a koncepci širší pedagogická veřejnost mívá odlišné představy. Předložený text vymezuje dílčí linie vědecko-výzkumné a odborné činnosti členů katedry sociální pedagogiky PdF a vybraných studentů oboru Sociální pedagogika.

This work was published on the occasion of the scientific seminar called Symposium of Social Pedagogy at the Faculty of Education PdF MU that was organized by the Department of Social Pedagogy. The main impetus behind the effort to publish this work was the idea to motivate and support both, internal and external cooperation across the subjects at the Department of Social Pedagogy, the PdF MU, as well as to encourage cooperation with wider professional and general public. As a scientific subject field, social pedagogy currently undergoes dynamic development, while the understanding of its conception and content differs in the professional circles. The work in question then serves as orientation outline of the activities performed in the seminar by the department members. The reader gets the opportunity to take a look behind the scenes of a relatively new department at the PdF MU. The work does not provide a detailed analysis of the departments activities, though.
