This project reacts on the 2015 report by the World Bank, which has outlined the necessity of behavioural sciences to step into the policy-making processes of countries in order to achieve more effective outcomes. Additionally, citizens’ well-being has been recently identified as a new measure of global development, complementary to the traditional economic indicators (e.g. GDP, inflation and unemployment rate), what further emphasises the necessity of interdisciplinary approach to policy-making. This project aims to develop an intervention that contributes towards reducing the prevalent global issues (e.g. excessive energy use), taking in account both economic and psychological factors. By employing an interdisciplinary approach in addressing real-world problems (while taking citizens’ well-being as priority), the project wants to lead the way to more efficient policy design. The project is externally supervised by Dr Kai Ruggeri of the Policy Research Group, University of Cambridge, United Kingdom.
