Popis Sociopragmatics is the sociological interface of pragmatics, based on what interlocutors conceive to be valuable and socially as well as culturally relevant. Sociopragmatics concerns the study of discourse in sociocultural contexts. Therefore, one of the main interest areas of sociopragmatics is meaning in interaction and to find out how cultural norms underlie the interactional features of a given social group in a given social context. Pragmatics is defined as an individual language use in social context, or as the rules governing the use of language in context; the study of situational, social or cultural factors which may affect (or 'colour') the literal meaning of an utterance in interactional activity.
