V přehledovém článku se autorky na základě analýzy převážně zahraniční (angloamerické) literatury vyjadřují k vývoji rodičovské role ve vztahu ke škole a k jejím různým podobám. Konkrétně vymezují a charakterizují tři různé přístupy k rodičům: pohled na rodiče jako na zákazníky, jako na partnery a jako na občany. V závěru se zamýšlejí nad oblastmi budování dobrých vztahů rodiny a školy.

In the survey article, the authors express views on the development of the parental role in relation to school and its various forms which are based on the analysis of predominantly Anglo-American foreign literatude. In particular, they define and characterize three different attitudes to parents: the view of parents as customers, partners and citizens. Finally, they reflect on the fields where good relations between the family and school can be built up.
