In the last few years, the figure of Oedipus has gained new features in Czech theatres (National theatre Prague 1996, Under Palmovka Theatre 2002;Strašnický Theatre 2008).We can see a gradual degradation of the figure of Oedipus,his demythologization.He looks near to todays unflattering form of political represantives with all their arrogance and incompetence.
