Improving Public Sector Efficiency in Times of Public Finance Crisis

Ivan Malý – Juraj Nemec: Možnosti zvyšování efektivnosti veřejného sektoru v podmínkách krize veřejných financí

The monograph indicates possible improvements in three selected areas – health care, employment policies and the quality of public administration services. Its base is the results of doctoral works of students of ESF MU Brno. It has selective character (three core areas are discussed), but the authors feel that it has important potential to stimulate theoretical discussions about efficiency of public finance and provides important guidelines for practical measures to improve allocative and technical efficiency of public expenditures in the Czech conditions.
