2nd Summer book fair in Ostrava
Come with us to the 2nd Summer book fair in Ostrava. This year’s motto is Books – roads to entertainment and information.
The main topic of the book fair, the road, is also the topic of lectures of Antonín Červený (Himalayas), Zuzana Samková (African park Serengeti), Filip Breindl (missions in Amazonia). Well-known navigator Richard Konkolski will greet the audience from over the ocean. Tomio Okamura, popular Czech-Japanese author and businessman will sign his books during the meeting with readers. On the occasion of the book fair two student competitions will be evaluated: knowledge competition “Modern history of our country” and literary competition “From the drawer of imagination” organized by Book High School of Brno. Winners will read their text at the author’s reading.
There is also the supporting program for professional public. Librarians from the whole country will arrive one day before the book fair to attend the acquisitions seminar. Tiskárny Havlíčkův Brod, a Czech printing company, will organise specialist printing seminar.
Publications of Masaryk University Press can be bought at Masaryk University stand n. T5.
