Popis | This article examines changing patterns of television program flows and audience preferences in the ten new European Union member states from postcommunist Central and Eastern Europe, focusing particularly on the historical course of internationalization of programming during the last two decades and on the amount and popularity of local production vis-a-vis imported programs. Special attention is paid to the spread and audience popularity of television formats, illustrating the overall tendency toward transnationalization of the Central and Eastern European television landscapes at the beginning of the twenty-first century. |
