| Popis | The candidate countries enjoyed the possibility to contribute to the elaboration of EU primary law in two ways: through their participation at the European Convention in 2003 and also during negotiations of the conditions of accession. Unfortunately, the Convention was deliberating too hurriedly and at a rather abstract level. As far as the accession negotiations are concerned, candidate countries could claim some derogations, but related to the secondary law only. Consequently, their impact on the primary law has been rather negligible. |
