| Popis | This paper analyses the issue of interpretation of the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sales of Goods (“CISG”) with the focus on the methods of interpretation that can be employed within the CISG. First, the paper deals with the guidelines of interpretation contained in Article 7(1). Then the rules of interpretation of Vienna Convention of the Law of Treaties (“Vienna Convention”) are analysed. Further, the relation between Article 7(1) and the rules of Vienna Convention is explained. Finally, the actual methods of CISG interpretation are analysed. |
