Článek představuje alternativní podobu současných integrovaných systémů nakládání s odpady (ISNO) v České republice, založenou především na vyšší integraci činností v odpadovém hospodářství a inspirovanou zejména již řadu let dobře fungujícími integrovanými dopravními systémy. Autor nastiňuje model ISNO, v němž právnická osoba koordinátora založená obcemi zapojenými do systému případně v součinnosti s krajem přebírá od obcí většinu povinností a kompetencí spojených s provozem odpadového hospodářství a zbavuje tak municipality povinnosti řešit často palčivou problematiku odpadů, ve které zejména menší obce nezřídka tápou a v důsledku toho přistupují řešením s nižší efektivitou jak pro životní prostředí, tak pro vlastní občany.

This paper presents an alternative form of the current integrated waste management systems (IWMS) in the Czech Republic, based primarily on increased integration of activities in waste management and in particular inspired by many years a well-functioning integrated transport systems. Author outlines IWMS model in which a coordinator established by municipalities involved in the system or in conjunction with the county takes over the majority of municipal obligations and responsibilities associated with the municipal waste management and discharge the obligations of municipalities to deal with waste, which, especially in the smaller villages, often bring problems that lead to lower efficiency for both the environment and for its own citizens.
