Kapitola shrnuje výsledky výzkum vegetace polních plevelů v České republice. Jsou zde charakterizovány vlastnosti, které umožňují rostlinám přežívat v agrokulturách, dále je popsána variabilita vegetace polních plevelů v České republice. Ze studia charakteristik druhů a společenstev vychází návrhy na budoucí management, který by vedl k zachovají diverzity polních plevelů.

Results of the research of arable weeds in the Czech Republic are included in this capter. The important species traits which are necessary for surviving in agroecosystems are described. The variability of arable weed vegetation in the Czech Republic is characterized. Results of the research were used to suggest changes in management practices to serve diversity of weed vegetation in our country.
